A Terrorist Attack On Muslim Family In London, Ontario
A Muslim family of five was brutally killed in London, Ontario on Sunday when a driver intentionally run them over in his pickup truck.
Salman Afzal, 46, his wife Madiha Salman, 44, their 15-year-old daughter Yumna Afzal, 74-year-old grandmother, Talaat Afzal, were attacked by a black pickup truck, as they took an evening walk. Who knew it was supposed to be the last evening walk of their lives. The youngest member of the family Fayez Afzal, 9, survived and remained in hospital in serious condition.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford pays his tribute to the victims, tweeting:
“Hate and Islamophobia has no place in Ontario.”
Canadian Prime minister Justin Trudeau called it” a terrorist attack.”
“Their lives were taken in a brutal, cowardly and brazen act of violence. The killing was no accident. This was a terrorist attack motivated by hatred in the heart of one of our communities,” The Prime Minister said before the House of Commons.
London Mayor Ed Holder said,” This was an act of mass murder, perpetrated against Muslims, against Londoners, and rooted in unspeakable hatred.”
In Pakistan, Prime minister Imran Khan condemned the attack, indicating the growing issue of Islamophobia in western countries.
